Our story
A family yard, built around horses and the people who love them.
Mary is from a horsey background — her passion for horses started young, and not just for riding but for every aspect of their care. Born into a farming family, she's always loved the great outdoors. Pete came to riding through Mary, and his knowledge has grown with the yard.

In 2015 a conversation around the kitchen table turned into a plan. Mary and Pete would rent a parcel of farmland from Mary's parents and build a livery yard from scratch. Planning approval came first — agricultural to equestrian — and then the long, satisfying job of fencing.
Pete built an American-barn-style stable block: eleven stables, a tack room, a hay barn, a toilet, and an arena with an all-weather surface and mirrors. With nearly 6,000 acres of Kings Forest at the gate, riders haven't looked back.
The yard now has a grass jumping paddock and a rubber-surface lunge pen. With Mary and Pete living onsite, CCTV around the clock and experienced staff, the horses are very well cared for.
